My name is Jillian Morrison and I am learning to love Jesus more and more each day. I was born in 1991 and grew up near San Francisco, CA as the oldest of three children. I graduated from UC Davis in June 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a double minor in Sociology and Social/Ethnic Relations. Although I never planned to be in ministry, God has graciously paved my path so that I may apply what I’ve learned in undergrad to the context of pastoral leadership. I became a youth pastor Intern in fall of 2014, working with Mark and Anne Stapleton in San Diego. After two years as an Intern, I moved up to the Pastoral Residency in fall of 2016 to work alongside Bermie Dizon in Glendora, CA. I will be completing my residency on June 30, 2019.
Statement of Passion
Fred Rogers once said, “What changes the world? The only thing that ever really changes the world is when somebody gets the idea that Love can abound, and can be shared.” As a small groups coordinator, I want to change the world one life at a time; because real life change happens best in the context of real community. Moving toward community is messy and uncomfortable, but by doing so we boldly answer the call of abundant life which Jesus promised. Let us learn to love God with all our strength as we love on others, recognizing that we were not meant to walk through this life alone.
